OWNER / STYLIST
Joanna is the owner of Studio 136, with over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. She has extensive education, most notably completing training with Vidal Sassoon Master Academy in London England, and Toronto, as well as being a Master Colour Expert with Wella Canada. Joanna loves a challenge, whether it be a tricky colour transformation or an extreme haircut.
She has a true love and passion for the industry and takes pride in not only her business but also in making her clients happy.

STYLIST
Amanda has been in the business for over 15 years and has been with the Studio since 2009. She has certificates from the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Toronto for cutting and barbering, as well as Colouring and Cut Craft certificates with Wella Canada. Amanda manages the salon as well as catering to her clientele. She has a passion for cutting and shaping for all kinds of styles and loves keeping up with new trends.

STYLIST
Natasha has been in the industry since 2010 and with Studio 136 since 2012. In 2021 Natasha won a Readers Choice Gold Award for Hairstyling. She has certificates from Vidal Sassoon and Wella Academy. Natasha has a real passion for colouring and collaborating with her clients to create something beautiful. The integrity of her client’s hair is her highest priority and she has an incredible talent for making everyone feel right at home in her chair!

STYLIST

Wella Professional Color Expert and Diamond winner in the 2023 Readers Choice Awards. Taylor graduated with honors from Marca College in 2017 and has consistently pursued advanced training with industry leaders like Wella, L'Oreal, and Bumble&Bumble. She brings 5+ years of experience and a passion for creating vibrant, customized hair color to her role at Studio 136, a salon known for its inclusive and educational approach to beauty.

STYLIST
Kelsey launched her career in 2020 and quickly discovered a passion for the transformative power of colour. She holds multiple certifications with Wella Professionals, and is dedicated to expanding her understanding of colour theory and the latest techniques. Kelsey loves doing all kinds of hair for her clients, but she especially enjoys crafting stunning blondes, from icy platinum’s to sun-kissed balayage.

APPRENTICE
Sydney is a passionate hairstyling apprentice with the aspiration to build a lifelong career in hair. She recently graduated with a diploma from Marca College Hamilton, and can't wait to continue her education to perfect her craft.  She loves every aspect of hairstyling—from color to finishing touches—and she's especially focused on perfecting her cutting skills to give each client the exact look they're after. Building connections and community are huge passions of hers and she loves to really get to know every individual who sits in her chair!

APPRENTICE
Sydney attended Hair Xtacy Academy, where she honed her skills in hair cutting through classes led by Dove Palmer. Additionally, she deepened her understanding of color techniques at the Wella Academy. She's particularly fascinated by vivid colors, as they allow for creative expression and unique styles that can transform a look and showcase individuality.
